Windows phone 8x htc 8gb review
More importantly, it means that audiophiles with ohm headphones will be able to obtain nearly double the volume from the 8X over an equivalent smartphone. Just keep in mind that neither device has expandable storage, so go with the phone that will offer you the best value for your money.
The other thing that the 8X lacks is wireless charging. This is neither a necessary feature nor a deal-breaker, but I can see some Nokia fans using it as yet another reason to pick the over the 8X.
Both devices have the same sensors and radios, including NFC support, but this is true of all modern Windows Phone 8 devices. Some big name apps like Twitter have not seen feature updates in over a year. Nevertheless, the 8X has a great camera, best-in-class sound quality with Beats Audio and a powerful headphone amplifier, and a number of features that make it worth your time.
Considering it is being heavily discounted on both Rogers and Bell at the moment, it may be worth looking into. Previous Next. Thanks in Advance. Joru, 12 Feb i had tried all ready its not happening only pin to start and delete option is coming Try this: 1.
Open the phone folder and search for WhatsApp folder 4. It'll be released in Build conference to be held on Apr' Joru, 11 Feb how to we update 8. Post your opinion. Sort by: Newest first Oldest first Best rating. I've seen and worked with larger screens, but for my 'medium-sized' hands, it makes things difficult to use one-handed.
I had the OneX for a while, and the 8x screen is great, it doesn't have the same 'pop' as the OneX. There's no real need for NFC here in Canada yet , so that's been turned off and I only use WiFi when I'm at home at the end of the day for downloads, updates, etc.
Camera:The 8mp main cameral is generally OK. Overall, it seems to be similar to the one in my OneX, but the pictures don't seem quite as crisp. It struggles in low light situations. The front facing wide-angle lens is great for including more friends and environment in sharing pictures, but it makes it difficult to get a realistic view of just yourself -- looks like you're shooting with a fish-eye lens.
Sound:Generally, the sound is pretty good, with solid sound coming from the speakers which work well even in noisy situations. The in call volume coming from the earpiece is good, but callers are sometimes difficult to hear in noisy situations, especially outdoors. Volume using the speakerphone is fine. I find the Beats Audio which works only on plugged-in headphones -- why not BT stereo headphones??
It's almost like too wide a spectrum is being emphasized, but without the bass end lacks 'sparkle' and precision. Recorded Audio with video is OK, but gets mushy and distorted in loud situations I think the 8X needs a better compression algorithm Video:The 8X easily plays all the major formats and resolutions with ease.
There were no sync problems between audio and video. Recorded video is good, but the auto-focus struggles and is slow, and again there are problems with low light situations. Exterior and Build Quality:With Microsoft's mandatory button placements for Windows Phones, it's hard to for manufacturers to find a way to differentiate themselves.
HTC has done a great job with the 8X in making a sleak, easy-to-handle handset which is very good looking as well. The colours mine is California Blue attract attention and help them stand out in a crowd.
My teenage son though, prefers the non-descript black :- I've always been impressed with HTC's build quality and the 8X is no exception. Others have mentioned problems with colour wearing off on the corners, but I haven't seen any of this in the three months I've had the phone, but mine spends most of its time in business attire, not jeans. The HTC portion of the WP Store is pretty weak, especially compared to the variety and quality of apps provided by other manufacturers. Overall:This is one powerful phone.
It's a joy to hold and own and is definitely at the head of the current pack of WP8 phones. I love it! In this review, I'm going to focus as exclusively on the hardware as possible, only venturing into software where HTC's exclusive WP apps are concerned.
The screen was far smaller and the storage no bigger than the phone I already had. When I finally had a chance to use the device and eventually own it however, that changed entirely. The design is absolutely impeccable, and what I have come to expect from HTC.
Pure machined precision, in comfortable soft touch material, with the curved glass screen sloping to meet the body at the edges.
I know the lack of removable batteries is somewhat of a lightning rod issue, but I found the unibody construction of the phone made it feel more solid in my hand and gave me more peace of mind.
One issue I did find with this curved glass is that it curves away so sharply that a screen protector is left with a somewhat unsightly line where it's not stuck on all around the edge. The coloring schemes are quite nice and brilliant, and they give a good sense of personality to the phone, matched by equally vivid tiles when the phone is on.
The cameras on the device are arguably one of the best experiences. The main camera takes great pictures in daylight, and manages in low-light situation with a flash that is very quick, timed well with the relatively quick shutter. I would have liked to see more image stabilization and low-light optimization with regards to white balance and ISO, instead of me having to manually adjust them to try and maximize my shot in dark situations.
The front facing camera was very impressive, with the wide angle lens really allowing me to either pack in more friends or get more surrounding scenery in as well. Before you dismiss it as a gimmick, I must say that getting the Capitol in the shot with a few friends around me at the Inauguration wouldn't have been possible if it were not for this phone. The Beats audio was an interesting addition.
Unfortunately, due to Microsoft restrictions on the device, there is no physical amplifier in the phone, rather, just a bunch of software tweaks to make things sound louder and in more surround sound. The speaker's performance is pretty good, but it's placement allows it to be muffled by a surface on accident pretty easily.
Call quality was great all around, with both the earpiece and speaker deliver loud and clear voice, with very little interference, and good results were reported by the other party as well. The hardware buttons are great except that the power button is a little too far back and recessed and somewhat hard to press.
Battery life is great, and this is where the WP optimizations really show. I am getting a solid full day and a half every day with no signs of slowing down after a few months of solid use. Every day I listen to podcasts for at least 3 hours, with heavy web usage, app usage, and background tasks all day.
That's incredible. Finally, I'll go over HTC's exclusive apps experience. This is one area where the experience stumbles somewhat. They bolstered it on this device by adding an HTC clock tile that delivers the trademark HTC clock in the form of a live tile that adds live weather info and location.
Clicking on it takes you to what was previously the HTC hub, which provides stocks, weather and news. All are great experiences, and the HTC hub is my primary source for stocks and weather, but the news experience is lacking compared to a good RSS reader.
The exclusive apps are rather sparse, especially when compared to the leader in this aspect, Nokia. HTC not only has a long way to go in making unique apps that differentiate and add value, but also getting exclusive deals on third party apps like Nokia. Overall, an incredible device that soundly beat my expectations of it, and another proud addition to my HTC collection.
I look forward to seeing what their next phone is for WP with great anticipation. I have had this phone for about 6 weeks now and I think its superb, looks so cool, fits nicely in your hand, the shape of it makes it feel a lot slimmer than it actually is.
Great sounding Beats audio, if you like listening to music on your phone. The camera takes amazing shots, and an extra wide 2MP front facing camera to get all your pals in that all important photo. Battery lasts well, about a day and a half with normal usage.
Well recomended! I've not reviewed on here before but felt the need to in regard to the HTC 8X. It's simply stunning. I'm blown away with the 8X. The biggest decision for me was whether to cross platform to Windows 8 as I have been an Android boy since day one.
Apple and Samsung may lead the way in sales, but for me, HTC's product design and build quality is and always has been unparalleled. No one and nothing come close. And this is where the 8X has blown me away.
It just looks and feels stunning in the hand. It's also a gorgeous looking shade of Blue, one where no photo does it justice. It's a real head turner. And that is why I adore HTC. So to the phone's features. Well Windows 8 has impressed me - and there's more and more apps in the store each day. And more developers are committing to the platform too. The Camera is awesome. One of the best, if not, THE best I've known. It's certainly as good as the one on my One X handset.
The front-facing camera is the best I've seen on any phone I've ever owned. Actually shocked at how good it is. I work in music and have been impressed by the Beats Audio integration on HTC handsets and it again sounds great on the 8X. It's a nice touch, especially if you have a good pair of headphones too.
The Live Windows tiles are great and the interface is easy to get the hang of in minutes. This handset is a real stunner. I just wish all smartphone manufactures had the real eye for detail and care into the materials and build quality as HTC have because the 8X is a stunning piece of kit. From a design point of view, I think this will prove to be an iconic design product for HTC because if all future handsets feel and look as good as the 8X then this will be a huge turning point for HTC.
The company I love. February 17, I've had my Windows Phone 8X since just after Thanksgiving. I was really excited to get it because it was so much lighter than the Lumia , and just felt better in my hand. I put it side by side with an iPhone 5 and it's actually just barely taller, which makes me think it's just the narrowness of it relative to all the Nokias that makes it look so tall. The only downside to the height is that the lock screen button is still on the top right corner, so it can be a bit far to reach.
The body is a lovely soft touch coating, in a color I have affectionately named 'blurple', but HTC calls 'California Blue'. I love when a manufacturer takes the extra initiative, and having the matching earpiece color and even the OS color is really impressive. My only real complaints are that the buttons are so subtle along the sides that it can sometimes be hard to really push them- especially the lock screen which can be a bit of a reach for small hands.
Inside, the 8X is blessed by pretty much the best Qualcomm hardware on the market. The only real reasons I've taken away a star are: high-ish price with a Lumia 32gb running just 99, it's hard to compete , the hard to push lock button, and the fact that the soft touch on my corners has begun to wear down a little bit. I think this is a fantastic phone that you'd be much happier owning than literally ANY Android phone on the market.
In short: elegance and simplicity. This phone clearly stands out from the WP crowd because of its outstanding design, which is already well established trademark of all HTC flagships. Discreetly curved straight lines leave the impression of serious and professional. During the first encounter with this beauty you cannot ignore how compact and firm it feels in hand, very lightweight and perfectly balanced.
Its body is made of a single peace of high quality polycarbonate, coated with an extra layer which gives an impression of rubberized finish.
With this in mind, together with form factor that follows 4. For all of you who want to stand out from black classic, this phone comes in three more trendy colors, very characteristic and vibrant. Resolution, color and overall screen quality are really exceptional. Camera is extremely fast and precise, with excellent auto focus and awesome wide angle, not yet very common for smartphones.
HTC dedicated extra attention to front facing camera as well, giving it a wide angle, which is super convenient for taking self portraits. For all of you who prefer hardware "click", there is a dedicated shutter key which can also be used to unlock the phone and go straight to camera.
With moderate usage battery can hold up for two days, making the life easier for those of us who sometimes forget to connect it to charger every night. If you are into music, there is Beats Audio enhancement, doing a pretty good job for everyday casual listening. Powerful hardware makes WP runs like a breeze. Navigation through menus is fluent and you'll probably need to consult the dictionary for a word "stutter" : Graphic experience of WP itself reminds me of gaming console interface: all graphic details are clean and simple, without too much unnecessary clutter, which elegantly goes with the great hardware, completing the superb experience.
February 16, This phone defines itself with style and productivity. I can't believe the features this phone packs. The fast processor more than keeps up with my lifestyle. Not too many phone manufactures gives you a choice on color. Holding the 8X is natural while texting my friends.
Videoing comes with ease with the large screen size and the HD recording is brilliant. The features of the 8X alone changed me from an Android phone to a Windows Phone 8.
I can't wait for what HTC can come out with next. So where do we start? Take this: wide angle front facing camera! Can't understand why nobody though of this before. Cant describe how useful this renovation is, especially because a big part of the pictures i take with my phone are taken using the front facing camera.
From a design prospective the phone is slim and elegant. I know up until now everybody was buying black and white smartphones but this phone adds some colour to your life! The material used in the back gives you a good grab on the phone, a feeling that the phone is secure in your hands and you can use it without being too careful not to drop it. The slightly curved glass in the front adds to the design and the display is bright and crisp.
Battery life is at least surprising! Conclusion: Really nice piece of hardware, well build, and well designed. I would recommend any new smartphone user to try the Windows 8X by HTC because of its ease of use, great camera quality and out-of-the-box design. You can easily create contacts, setup e-mail with a personal signature to brag to your friends about your new smartphone Sent from my Windows 8X by HTC. The camera quality is amazing considering this is a smartphone and I would say the best I have ever used.
You can easily move from tile to tile, pin what's most important to you on your homescreen and, Customize by color and size and download the most popular applications.
What I think productivity users will appreciate most is being able to create and edit word docs on the go and then save them in case you decide to finish up at home. The phone comes in so many cool colors, feels great to the touch and can easily fit in a shirt pocket no case required. Lastly for music lovers grab your favorite headphones and enjoy the Beats Audio Technology that allows for an amplified and clear music listening experience.
I have been a fan of HTC for quite some time now, simply because the hardware build quality is outstanding. This phone is not an exception.
The workmanship is faultless, the processor is powerful enough to deliver a very smooth performance and the diplay is simply the best I have seen so far. The styling is simply stunning and one of HTC's masterpieces. Holding it in your hand is a sensual experience, the phone feels much slimmer than it actually is and seeing that every single little hole that the speaker is mounted under has been individually drilled to perfection shows an attention to detail so often amiss with other manufacturers.
The feel of the beautifully blue surface is smooth and lovely, you almost don't want to put it down at all; the glass surface is super sturdy and delivers an image that is crisp, clear and immediate. You've never been so close to your images, it feels like you're looking at laminated photos - perfectly suited for the crisp simple beauty of the OS!
The dedicated camera button saves you from having to take wild stabs at the phone's display when taking a picture and the cameras are two of the phone's highlights anyway. The ultra-wide-angle front camera as well as the exceptional main camera both deliver images of the highest quality; I've never taken pictures as good as this with any other phone before. I have yet to find an application or video that takes the processor to its limits, everything has been completely smooth and easy so far.
Sound, too - music actually sounds good when played through the speaker, but headphone playback is quite a different story still, because beats audio makes that absolutely amazing.
Battery life is very solid indeed, depending on how strong your signal is. With a strong signal, I've had up to two days of battery life. A weak 3G signal means you'll just have to plug it in again overnight. I recommend the app Battery Sense for a great overview. As an OS, Windows Phone still has some catching up to do, there are still apps and functions I miss although the pre-installed HTC ones are a big help! And in contrast to Android phones where you can never be sure if an OS update will even reach your phone , I trust Microsoft to roll out updates to all devices as soon as available.
I'm really proud to own this phone, I've never had a prettier one in my pocket and I've already gotten used to people asking me about it. This one's truly a thing of beauty. February 15, HTC 8X is amazing! The design of this phone is great. The curved back feels natural in your hand. It feels more grippable than my One X and slightly thicker, which aids in the comfort.
The bright colours make it stand out and intrigue people which makes a good talking point! When I first got this phone I had no idea what to expect. I had used Windows phone before WP8, but they were just "all right" devices and didn't stand out to me like other available ones did.
I swear this phone has blown me away. From the design, the feel, and even the awesome California Blue color of the poly-carbonate, I know that HTC put a lot of time into making this be the "right" phone for everyone. Every person that has picked up my phone has commented on the feel and the look and how they wish their phone was like mine. HTC outdid themselves on this design and I know that the insides are just as well constructed.
Oh and another plus, the battery life is so much better than my older phone. I did not expect to really enjoy this phone, I honestly thought I would be switching back to my old one occasionally, but since the day I started using the HTC 8X I have not been able to put it down. I love this phone and I think anyone who gives it a try will love it too. I have had the HTC 8x for a while now and I can honestly say it's the best feeling and well put together smartphone I have ever had the pleasure of holding!
The design of this phone is exquisite. HTC haven't missed a single detail and in my opinion it's the best looking smartphone available today.
The tapered edges make the phone extremely comfortable to hold and it's easy to reach all corners of the screen. The screen itself is simply stunning, one of the sharpest available at p hd resolution. Colours are vibrant and pop. The camera is also amazing. The camera also has a dedicated shutter button which allows quick and easy access to the camera.
Sound is also awesome with integrated beats audio. One of the biggest plus points for me over previous smartphones is the excellent battery life.
A single charge will easily last more than a day with heavy use in my experience. I really can't recommend this phone highly enough. I hope HTC carry this great design language forward into future smartphones. Being a power user concerned with portability, productivity and functionality combined in a smallest piece, I was looking for a phone which would fill the place of several devices and be a power phone rather than just smartphone.
I was pretty inspired by the simple look of the Windows Phone 8 OS, and was looking for a perfect device to blend with this OS, and I came across the 8X, beautifully crafted, premium feel in hand, gorgeous display and awesome feeling when you hold it in your hand. My videos look amazing on its HD display and the touch is super responsive! One of the best things I like about this phone is the camera, the video recording of p quality with 45fps is simply superb, came in handy during family functions!
The speaker is quite impressive, is loud and clear. And I like the speaker grills at the back, it adds to the overall look of the phone. The phone is real thin and whenever I look at it, I always wonder how beautifully the unibody design is flushing with the display.
Now coming to some cons about this device, being a power user, I really felt 16gb to be very less, that limits my productivity and stuff I could do. There should've been a SD card slot to tackle this issue.
It's really bad it offers only 16GB. Second thing is the battery life. It hardly lasts a single full day, and drain in screen off is considerable.
I don't know if this is an OS issue, but definitely HTC should have done something to improve the battery life as they have done on the Androids. Overall its a fun device to capture beautiful pictures even in low lights I found them to be of good quality , to watch high definition videos, to type on the ultra responsive screen, and with beats, you also have a music system with you with good quality sound and sound effects.
So this is definitely a complete package for both work and play! But unlike most Windows phones available in the market, HTC has seriously made attempts to make it stand out in the crowd. Be it the tapered edges which makes it feel extremely thin and comfortable to hold or the extremely light weight chassis which makes it one of the most lightest phones available.
Similar to its Android counterpart, the use of polycarbonate makes up to a delightful feel in the hand. Be it the opening of apps or the updating of tiles, everything is picture perfect. For someone like me who has been not the Android ecosystem since the beginning was a smooth transition and find it much better here. Though one thing that might bother some of us is the lack of apps but most major apps are available or have a replacement.
Camera :The camera on the 8X was the first thing to catch my attention on this mighty beast. The amazing front facing camera is one of the best in the class and thanks to its ultra wide angle which assures you that no one will be missed out in the frame. For now it can be overcome by use of apps like Camera Pro which seamlessly integrates into the native camera app. But I would like HTC top port these features in the upcoming updates.
Battery Life :For me with 3G on and with normal call time gives me a day and a half of juice. This includes about 2 - 3 hours of playing one of the most addictive games like Wordament. For heavy users the phone would easily last a day.
To make the most out of your phone use a pair of Beats headphones. Overall :The phone is a great option for existing Windows Phone users who wish to upgrade and also for those who want to make a transition from iOS or Android.
The phone seamlessly syncs with your Windows 8 PC. Mac users can also enjoy these goodies by downloading their desktop software. Thumbs up for HTC for creating a masterpiece. I own this phone for more than 2 months. Loved the design of the phone, not boring, unlike most of the devices on other platforms. Windows Phone 8 is very pleased with the fast work in all aspects. In the system itself is very well designed aspects of working with contacts, social. The battery keeps the normally operate for more than a day of moderate work.
Bit unusual when the battery is non-removable, but I hope that will live long and need a hard reset will not. HTC did a great job making this phone - you'll probably love it! The hardware of this phone is great, in particular the frontal camera, it is really of great quality and the angle is wide enough that we can easily put four people inside the camera just by holding the phone at arm length so we can preview how we are "arranged" in the screen easily -- older phone either the frontal camera is a bit blur so you have to use the back camera so you can't see the screen!
It is also very durable, since I do not get a chance to buy a screen protector or case, so I have been a little bit worry about scratching the phone, but it still looks brand new after 3 weeks!
The sound quality is great too! This is my 4th HTC 5th smartphone in all , and by far the best and most good looking of them all. Amazing design with vibrant colors I have the California Blue , and it sure makes heads turn just by the sheer look of it. Kudos to HTC for making a phone that stands out from other boring smartphone designs. Saying that, there's one concern; the soft matte finish on the body. I feel that it will fade or lose the color as time goes by. The front camera is ultra-wide lens; widest out there, which means you can cover more area and people into the frame; it supports p video, perfect for video chats.
The 4. It has ppi, which makes text and other content sharp and a pleasure to look at. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The screen has aspect ratio. It has great viewing angles and also works good in outdoor conditions. Being powered by a 1. No questions about that, as Windows Phone already feels snappy and smooth with configurations of even a single core processor.
Battery is a mAh one, which seems ok, if not great. For a power user, it should go through a working day on a single charge. Call quality and audio is top notch and clear.
Beats audio with built in pre-amplifier is an added advantage. Other specifications are also nice, such as NFC support. Pros:Amazing looks and design. High-end specs in a compact and colorful package. Good camera. Great audio. Great performance, very smooth with no lag. Cons:Battery life is moderate, but should be ok for normal users. Power users might feel the need to charge it more often.
Just 16GB internal storage, no option to add external storage. Overall, there's no doubt that 8X is a worthy flagship. I would definitely recommend it. I have the T-Mobile version of this phone, in the California Blue color. This is an outstanding device!
The phone looks fantastic and feels fairly good in the hand. It feels solid and high quality. The glass over the display sits slightly proud of the plastic casing. It looks fantastic as the glass is rounded over at all four edges where it meets the case. However, this also means the glass is exposed where it is weakest its corners and edges and will likely break if the phone is accidentally dropped onto a driveway or street.
So I recommend getting a pouch or protective case for this device. Call quality is excellent and the phone works well with wired headsets. Bluetooth is also supported but I haven't tried that, yet. The phone has excellent text to speech and speech recognition features including all the things you'd expect such as having text messages read to you and dictating texts to others, using your voice to make calls or dictate notes into OneNote, etc.
Battery life is okay. I was hoping for better, but I can go about a day on a single charge with low to moderate use of apps, games, and e-mail throughout the day. The battery is not user serviceable. The Windows Phone 8 operating system on this phone is great.
I find it to be much more consistent, reliable, and intuitive than the One S, which uses Android 4. Apps open quickly and things always move fluidly. T-Mobile and HTC bundle a bunch of mostly useless in my opinion apps with the phone, but the great thing is that you can easily remove each one. And if you decide you want one back later, you just reinstall the app from the store.
This phone includes a very high quality rear camera, but at the moment, HTC's camera software is missing many of the advanced features that they include in the One series of Android phones, such as a burst mode. Fortunately, third party apps can fill some of these gaps. For instance, there is a free app "lens" called Blink that provides an awesome burst mode capability. The phone also includes a good front facing camera for things like Skype video chats. The front camera on this phone is unique in that its lens has a very wide angle which allows for a much more natural looking environment around you when you're doing a video call or a self-portrait.
At arms length, about 3 or 4 adult heads can fit in the frame. T-Mobile includes Telenav Scout for turn by turn directions. However, it carries a monthly fee and isn't well integrated into the phone meaning when you see an address in some other app or in a contact, it doesn't offer to open in Scout. For the security minded, the device storage is always encrypted using BitLocker. You can set a numeric password of at least 4 digits for unlocking the screen, and you can separately set a pin for the SIM card if you want to.
You decide what information is visible on the lock screen. You can remotely find and erase device through the windowsphone. The Beats Audio feature activates automatically when headphones are plugged in.
Or you can disable it if you want to. The audio sounds good with Beats, but it also sounds good with it off. In fact, as of the latest software updates, I can tell zero difference between the two.
Before the updates, the audio was significantly louder when Beats was enabled. February 14, If you are looking for a new device that is packed with functionality and wrapped in style then the HTC 8X is for you.
I have been using the 8X for about a month now and I am in love with it. The designers have really out done themselves with this one. I can easily describe the outer style with one word, Smooth. There is not a sharp spot anywhere on this thing, instead, HTC decided to turn every corner into a curve.
A great decision I must say. The screen is crisp and full of rich colors and responds to your touch without any delays. The sound quality is very surprising. Not only does it have Beats audio integrated in it but the headphone port and loud speaker are amplified! This doesn't mean that its just louder but also cleaner sound. The 8X can easily replace you current MP3 player. The camera, although lacking stock extras like Panorama and HDR which come on other HTC devices, is very capable of capturing those precious moments.
The front camera goes where others cannot, with a 88 degree wide angle lens you can get the whole group in the shot along with a highlight of where you are.
Being a Windows Phone, it is all about productivity. The customizable live tiles on the home screen are great, you can get so much information with just one quick glance. The integrated office apps and SkyDrive access makes keeping on top of things, both work and personal, a breeze. And although there are not as many apps as other OS markets, there are many high quality and very useful ones that will leave you feeling, 'why do I need so many apps anyway I have everything I need here.
My only gripe would be there is no SD slot to extend your storage capacity. Considering all the free cloud storage you can get, its not a huge deal breaker. In all I think the 8X is a beautiful and highly functional device that can meet, if not exceed, your demands of your mobile needs. I must admit that this smartphone has left me speechless since the first days of use. Notwithstanding its great specs, I always advice not to focus solely on them, but to actually test the device whenever possible.
I did it and I pleasantly verified that this device is responsive and complete in every aspect. The large p display makes it extremely pleasure to watch videos on YouTube without annoying dark bands. But the front facing camera is the real peculiarity of the 8X.
Of course the 2. Listening to your favourite music has never been so pleasant. Beats Audio allows you to listen to the song you love like never before, guaranteeing a high quality sound. Watching a music video on this phone and listening to the song with Beats Audio headphone is such a unique experience. The internal memory is 16 GB, but you can access another 7 GB of free cloud space using SkyDrive, which is very handy to save pictures, not to lose any precious memory in case of unwanted deletion.
Users with different requirements would be pleased anyway with the battery life of the 8X: I get through 2 days with a not too much stressing daily use social networks, calls, texts and playing a game every now and then. Even if its width is 10,12 millimetres in the central part of the body, it seems like much thinner, thanks to its iconic design.
You can easily access the physical buttons, like the camera or volume ones, and the Gorilla Glass 2 gives you the chance to use your phone with a scratch-free peace of mind. This is a device you really have to buy if you want to sing out from the crowd, try something coloured and new and need a smartphone with the highest entertaining capabilities. The HTC 8X is a beautiful phone with its ergonomic and visually stimulating design with a unique approach to Windows phone 8.
The main features that I feel stand out about the 8X is the beautiful display screen, the keyboard, the outer design, the battery, and the simplicity of Windows phone 8.
The screen makes colors pop and it provides great viewing angles. With the user interface of Windows, the display provides brilliant contrast. Also, a 4. As for the keyboard, it is the best most responsive keyboard out of every smartphone.
