I have other machines that do not have this issue so I am inclined to believe if it is a bug that a particular hotfix or computer setting is causing it to occur. So again it may be something I have done.

I won't rule that out yet. Phone support has been pretty hard to get through on but once in I have found their techs to be sharp and helpful. There are a lot of benefits to moving to 4 from 3 or 2 as the engine is much cleaner and more spyware is identified than by just the AV in 3 or 2.

Another benefit is the upgrading process. Upgrading NOD32 has been a process of uninstalling and reinstalling which can be done from the console.

For versions prior to 3, an extra module had to be used, but starting with 3, you can uninstall either 3 or 4 by pushing an uninstall package from the Remote Install in the console.

You can set it to force a reboot or not, but I generally do, then follow that later a push install to the newer version. We use a single master console for management, but multiple remote admin installs to push the install as it amounts to transferring a fairly large package.

We push the uninstall from the master, and build the packages on it. Then we copy the packages to each remote console and push the new install on that site. After the package is installed and the machines rebooted, they show up with the new version on our master console and we again manage them from there.

The only problems we've run into is the conflict between 4. X turns on Offline Files. I know But, put them together on the same PC and Offline Files turns itself on.
